Unbelievable! Thats what you'll say when you see one of these run and then study the detail! These SD40-2 powered locomotives are painted gray with blue and yellow bands and gray roofs. The cabs and decks are blue, the nose and rear end is yellow, and the printing is blue and yellow. They loco were built in 1979 by Electro Motive Division as part of order #786287 for the L&N, later acquired by SBD, then CSXT. These locos retained their original numbers even when they changed reporting marks and paint. The paint scheme they wear was seen from 1992 through 2000, when cab roofs began to be painted gray, with a few locos wearing it as late as 2002. Rd#8078
